Cruise

For anyone who doesn't know (I can't imagine that anyone doesn't know), Greg is working on his MBA at Wake Forest. What does this mean for me and Avery? It means we fly solo every Monday and Wednesday and most Saturdays. Greg also usually always studies on Tuesdays at a minimum.

It has been really difficult and I tell people that if I had known how hard it would was going to be I would have probably never agreed to it. I am glad I didn't know! Avery is old enough now that he notices when we don't make the turn to pick Greg up at work and he starts to cry, point, and say Daddy over and over. It kills me.

I decided that we should do something really special to celebrate Greg's completion this August. We settled on a cruise. Neither of us have ever been on a cruise. We are of course taking Avery with us. He has sacrificed as much as anyone. Probably more.

We are working with a great travel agent (our friend Dr. Meg's mom), and we have decided that we are going to leave out of Charleston. We are still ironing out the final details, but I am so excited.

I had no idea how a vacation plan could really make something so much more bearable. I can't wait to settle out the details and write it on my calendar.

My friend Lindsey is leaving this Saturday for Amsterdam and she is so nonchalant about the whole thing. I don't even have my passport for Pete's sake. I know I have worn her out talking about it this week. Can you imagine knowing that you were going to be walking through Amsterdam next week? Lindsey can!

Who wants to load up and cruise with us in October? The more the merrier!!! We'd love to have you along!

  2. That sounds like a blast! I can't wait to be done with school and be able to actually go somewhere.
