Today it was the sweet Swiders in front of my lens.  Logan is so cute, so funny, and such a trooper.  Three wardrobe changes, one call to Santa, and one promise of a surprise = zero tears and these pictures:

Wooten Family 2011

My most favorite thing in the world to do is take pictures.  I love, love, love it.  I am not a "photographer", I don't claim to know how to take the perfect picture, and I don't charge $75 for 30 minutes and 2 digital images, but I am flattered when people trust ME to take their family pictures!

Team Wooten gives me the pleasure in the fall.  You might say it has become a tradition between our two families!

Card-o-riffic!

As much as I love Halloween, and I do LOVE Halloween, Christmas is my second favorite.  My two favorite things about Christmas are my white Christmas tree chock full of shiny, colorful mismatched ornaments, and getting everyone's Christmas cards.  I can't remember when it started, but at least 50% of my Christmas cards now come with some form of picture which is AWESOME.

Don't get me wrong, I still appreciate a good old traditional Christmas card, but the picture ones are DEFINITELY my favorite.  I love making my own card.  I can spend hours on the websites shopping for the PERFECT HOLIDAY CARD!  Who can't right?

This year the selection over at TINY PRINTS is insane.  I have 7 favorites picked, and to get down to 7 was impossible.  I think this is my favorite:  LOVE IT!  Now, I am pretty early in the process, so I guess you will just have to watch your mailbox to see which design wins.   You never know.

I expect the first cards will roll in very soon, and I CANNOT wait.  I have this awesome card holder that is a long strip.  Perfect for two lovely rows of Christmas yumminess!

I just spent a bit yesterday afternoon taking pictures of Team Wooten.   I am dying to share, but I won't!!! Fill up my mailbox please.  Thank you very much!!!

Dear Blog

I know I have said this before, but I really, really, really miss you.  I want to blog every single day.  I have so many things that I want to say.  Things that are on my mind today:

• why don't people get more in an uproar about smoking?  i see tons of posts about vaccinations, politics, gun control, and occupy wall street, but I have to walk through a cloud of smoke when i enter any building.  no offense, but i have a friend who doesn't post her child's picture on line for fear of a digital footprint, but both she and her husband smoke.  am i the only person who despises cigarette smoke??  because i really, really do.  am i silly to be worried about it so much?  after all, it is one of the few vices that you share with anyone within 10 fee of you!
• today i forgot my purse.  i have no way to buy anything, no id of any type, and my nose is full of green mucus.  my mucinex is also in my purse.  i miss you purse, i miss you!!
• i love etsy.com.  do you?  if you don't you should.  spend 5 minutes out there.  you will fall in love.
• we have sold our giant bedroom furniture and we are buying something more practical.  I think we are settling on IKEA.  any better ideas??
• i get to be this boy's mom.  how lucky is that??
